Tibetan Buddhist Practice & the Vajrayana Path

Meditation, mentoring and guidance for those drawn to the depth of Tibetan Buddhism and inner transformation.

A Living Practice, Not Just a Philosophy

Tibetan Buddhism is not simply a system of ideas—it is a path of direct experience.

For over 25 years, I have been dedicated to meditation and practice within this tradition, exploring the nature of mind, awareness and transformation through lived experience.

This path has shaped not only how I understand life, but how I meet it—through presence, compassion and clarity.

Vajrayana (Tantric Buddhism) in Everyday Life

My practice is rooted in Vajrayana Buddhism, often known as the tantric path.

At its essence, Vajrayana is about working directly with experience—using everything that arises, including thoughts, emotions and challenges, as part of the path.

Rather than rejecting difficulty, this approach allows you to:

  • transform emotional patterns

  • deepen awareness

  • integrate insight into daily life

  • recognise the potential for awakening within ordinary experience

This makes it a powerful and practical path for modern life.

A Tradition Aligned with Psychological Insight

Tibetan Buddhist practice has a deep resonance with modern psychology.

Many of its teachings reflect what we now understand about:

  • the patterns of the mind

  • emotional conditioning

  • trauma and reactivity

  • the importance of awareness and integration

My work bridges these perspectives—offering a way of practising that is both:

  • deeply rooted in tradition

  • and relevant to contemporary life

Mentorship with Rob Preece

Since 2018, I have been in ongoing mentorship with Rob Preece, whose work has had a profound influence on my understanding of the Dharma in lived experience.

His teaching emphasises the integration of:

  • depth psychology

  • embodied awareness

  • and the realities of everyday life

This has deeply informed the way I work—bringing a grounded, human and psychologically aware approach to Tibetan Buddhist practice.

His books, including The Wisdom of Imperfection and Feeling Wisdom, explore the meeting point between Buddhist practice and emotional life.

An Experiential Understanding of the Path

My connection to this work is not purely intellectual or theoretical.

Over many years of practice, I have moved through periods of:

  • deep meditation and retreat

  • challenge and uncertainty

  • profound insight and transformation

This gives me an understanding of the path that is experiential—grounded in what it actually means to live and embody these teachings over time.
